Why This Work Matters
The moments of birth and early infancy are a fleeting dance of tiny details—the curl of a finger, the depth of a first breath, and the unspoken bond that forms in an instant. I document these once-in-a-lifetime experiences so that the raw, quiet beauty of your family’s beginning is never forgotten.
Why I Chose Birth Photography
I am drawn to birth photography because I believe every family deserves to feel seen, held, and honored during their most transformative transitions. My heart is in honest storytelling that celebrates the immense power of birth and the gentle strength of new connections.
Your Journey: What to Expect
Before You Reach Out
Welcoming a photographer into your birth space is deeply personal.
Before reaching out, please take a moment to prepare:
• Discuss with your birth partner — Make sure they feel comfortable with photography during labour and birth.
• Check with your care provider — Confirm hospital or midwife policies.
• Review the collections — Know which package suits your vision.
This helps ensure we’re the perfect fit for your journey.
On the Day
Your birth day is sacred, emotional, and beautifully unpredictable. My role is to enter your space with calm respect, documenting your story as it naturally unfolds — never directing, never interrupting.
Here’s what you can expect:
• On-call readiness — From 34 weeks, I remain on call 24/7, ready to attend when labour is established.
• Arrival during active labour — I join you once you’re in active labour, allowing you time to settle into your rhythm and space first.
• A calm, unobtrusive presence — I work quietly in the background, using natural light where possible, capturing real moments as they happen.
• Respect for your birth space — Your comfort, privacy, and medical environment are always prioritised. I work seamlessly alongside your care team and birth partner.
• Golden hour coverage — I remain after birth to document those first cuddles, feeds, bonding, and baby’s first assessments.
• Emotion-led storytelling — Every image reflects the strength, connection, and raw beauty of your experience — exactly as it felt.
My intention is simple: to hold space for you while preserving one of the most powerful days of your life with honesty and care.
